Carolina Wildlife Center

Carolina Wildlife Center is a non-profit organization based out of Columbia, South Carolina. They are devoted to the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife and the preservation of wildlife through education.

My design won their tee-shirt contest spring of 2024.

The theme was "Magnificent but Misunderstood Animals." My design features an Eastern Gray Squirrel, an Opossum and an Eastern King snake and the role they play in their ecosystem that benefits humans too.

Eastern Gray Squirrel- The Farmer: They often don't find all of their stored winter nuts, so many turn into trees or snacks for other animals.

Eastern KingSnake- Public Safety: They eat venomous snakes, and rodents which help keep the spread of disease down.

Virginia Opossum- Sanitation: They eat ticks which carry lyme disease, and they have been used to help us better understand snake venom which they are immune to.
